However, I have in my possession a painting by Mrs. Brand of my mother, who sat for her in 1972 or 1973. I have started a Wikipedia entry on her but it is far from adequate. I knew Mrs. Brand while I lived in Charlottesville and knew rumors of her history but I lack details. I will work on this project as time goea by but help would be appreciated. i understand there is a biography of her in Dissertation form. I do not know the above painting.
